The Hardest Step is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) Pending of the Internal Revenue Code.
Our Mission Includes:
Financial Assistance
Providing grants, scholarships, and charitable aid to veterans, first responders, and their eligible family members to improve access to mental health counseling, behavioral health treatment, peer support, crisis intervention, and related wellness services.
Educational Scholarships
Supporting family members of veterans and first responders who are pursuing degrees or professional training in counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, behavioral health, or related mental health professions.
Public Education
Conducting educational programs, workshops, outreach initiatives, and public awareness campaigns to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, suicide prevention, trauma recovery, resilience, and emotional wellness.
Research & Collaboration
Supporting research, collaboration, and partnerships with charitable organizations, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and government agencies that improve mental health services for veterans, first responders, and their families.
